In the end, all four of the polls agreed. Rifle is ranked #1 in 2A. The Bears trailed Sterling and occasionally Resurrection Christian in 3 of the four polls all season long, but on the final day of the year, the computer polls all settled on the Bears at #1.
Rifle is the only undefeated team in the field and will enjoy the homefield tiebreaker throughout the playoffs. The tiebreaker comes into play when each of the two teams about to face off each have the same number of home playoff games. If one of the teams has fewer home games than the other, then the team with the fewer home games will host. If all of the home teams win throughout the tournament, Rifle would play all three playoff games at home.
The potential 4th playoff game, the State Championship game, will be held on a neutral field in Pueblo.
