Rifle 45 – Moffat County 0

It may sound ridiculous given the score, but this was a hard fought contest. The Bulldogs were big, physical and talented and had the Bears right where they wanted them on multiple occasions in the first half. Penalties and turnovers plagued Moffat County, however, and Rifle took advantage.

Ryan Moeller had another huge night. Moffat County’s six man front was able to make a lot of plays around the line of scrimmage, but with so many defenders in the box, the Bulldogs had little room for error. Every time they made a mistake, Moeller made them pay. The final stats are not yet available, but Moeller racked up 325 yards on just four of his many runs last night. He scored another five touchdowns bringing his two game total to ten.
