A member of the Bears’ extended family raised the gold trophy on Saturday. Chris Cline’s Elizabeth Cardinals are the 3A state champions. Cline both played for and coached the Bears in the past and his team’s convincing win over the Glenwood Demons capped a perfect 14-0 season and brought Elizabeth High School its first football state championship ever. Congratulations to Coach Cline and the Cardinals!
